Procedural and evidentiary issues associated with civil penalty proceedings brought by ASIC

Alister Abadee was called to the NSW Bar in 2000. He practises in commercial litigation including corporate and securities and financial services litigation, trade practices, professional liability and insurance litigation. He has acted for ASIC in civil penalty proceedings and is involved in several shareholder class actions arising from the collapse of the Westpoint Group. He is the co-author of 'Professional Liability in Australia' (published by Thomson, 2002, with a second edition released in August 2007).
