CLA Mentoring program

Welcome to the 2008 Mentor Program. There are many reasons why your decision to take part in this program is a good investment in your future career.

In this age of increasing specialisation it is sometimes difficult to stop and take the time to look at the broader picture. The CLA has a proud tradition within law and business spanning over 40 years.

We have always seen the importance of building bridges between commerce and law. Promoting networking and the dissemination of information have always been of critical importance. Our mentoring program is special in that it offers you, as a mentee, an opportunity to broaden your interests within these areas.

The mentoring program is able to offer mentees opportunities that are often not available to students or new graduates. The CLA's mentoring program has not been designed to compete with firms' in-house mentoring schemes; rather the CLA offers an experience that is a complementary and independent one that can provide you, the mentee, with a range of ideas and experiences.

We hope you will enjoy your mentoring experience with the CLA. Please download the information packs for a useful guide to the program. Once a match is proposed by the Coordinator you will be contacted for an initial orientation meeting.

If you have any further enquiries please do not hesitate to contact our Students & New Graduates Coordinator Emma Toshack on 0421 858 874 or email graduates@cla.org.au.

We look forward to welcome you to the CLA and we wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
