Professor John Carter
Specialising in contract, commercial law and restitution, Professor Carter has written extensively in all these areas. His major works include: Carter’s Breach of Contract, LexisNexis Butterworths 2011; Contract Law in Australia, (with Professor E Peden and Professor G J Tolhurst), 5th ed, LexisNexis Butterworths, 2007; Mason and Carter’s Restitution Law in Australia (with Mr Keith Mason QC, Professor GJ Tolhurst), LexisNexis Butterworths, 2009; Carter’s Guide to Australian Contract Law, 2nd Ed, LexisNexis Butterworths, 2011; and Carter on Contract, a loose-leaf service published by LexisNexis Butterworths. In 1988 Professor Carter established the Journal of Contract Law, published by LexisNexis Butterworths, of which he is the General Editor.
